*yawns* Man o' man this year has been something else. I'm not going to write a lost boring post about all the shenanigans, just know that they were there. xD
~Organized my room so that it's more "cosplayer friendly", meaning I have a lot of those plastic containers with the drawers labeled with the names of my supplies. Best $60 well spent! I also got this pole hanger thing that attaches to the ceiling and floor (not that type of pole). Best thing about it is I can hang up multiple costumes on it instead of leaving them all over the place. hazzah!
~Made a new cosplay for Youmacon! Next to the Mother Nature Bird cosplay, this was one of the most detailed, pain in the ass, beautiful, expensive cosplays I have made. No matter how much I click through my future cosplay folder I kept coming back to this Sonsaku character. Eventually I was like *beep* it and just researching the character and items I could use for the outfit. I got a lot of help from
since she had previously made the outfit for a web costume contest. With her guidance I was able to eventually finish the cosplay and have it turn out better then I expected. Thank goodness for that financial aid refund
~Youmacon 2012....dealer's room 5 minute walk in the cold to another building, staff didn't know where anything was which meant I was running around the con with my already irritated mother looking for the cosplay judging which was already running late, masquerade host sucked, and cosplay judging once again disappointed me. If you saw my Sonsaku cosplay, you can see why going out in the cold in THAT was not happening. I am sadden I wasn't able to see my friends in artist alley or buy anything which was a first for me. But other than that I did have an ok time seeing my friends again, getting compliments on my cosplay, and enjoying the rave with my cousin who has never been to an anime con before. Youmacon...get yo head in the game! >
~Also, I started my own little online business! My ebay is just to sell random pre-made items, like some anime or cosplays I no longer want and my Etsy is for all my handmade items I'll be selling. Keep a look out for updates in both shops.
